The asymptotic directions of cosmic rays in the magnetic field of the quiet asymmetric magnetosphere of the earth are calculated, with allowance for the field of internal and external sources. The field of internal sources is determined on the basis of the IGRF-75 model with allowance for secular variations in the geographic coordinate system; and the magnetic field from external magnetospheric sources is determined by a model which takes into account currents in the magnetopause and the tail, as well as ring currents of Dst variations. It is found that the asymmetry of the magnetosphere leads to sharp changes of asymptotic latitude.
