Scientific paper

The paper presents an analysis of systematic measurements of wind velocity in the D-region conducted by the D1 technique at the Badary station during 1974-1982 as well as in 1985. This analysis confirms the previously observed increase in the mean velocity of the zonal wind with increasing solar activity. A similar trend is found in analyzing the meridional-wind velocity.
