The present analysis deals with the fluctuation behavior of decimetric radio waves during radio occultation of the Venusian atmosphere. The dispersion of field intensity fluctuations and the characteristic fluctuation period are plotted against the distance between the spacecraft and the edge of the planet's limb. It is shown that the characteristic amplitude fluctuation period is defined not only by dimension of the Fresnel zone and the velocity of the radiation source, but also by the refractive fading of the radio signals.
