Scientific paper

Pc1 and Pc4 pulsations have been observed simultaneously by the ATS
satellites. This observation makes it possible to explain the observed
amplitude variation of the Pc1 pulsations by the modulation of their
increment by the lower-frequency Pc4 pulsations. The efficiency of this
modulation mechanism is calculated.
