This work is associated with the Relikt-2 Project. An approximate procedure is formulated for calculating the flight paths to a halo orbit about the colliner libration points L2 (L1) of the Earth-Sun system, based on a scheme proposed by R.W. Farquhar. This procedure is used to discern significant laws governing the parameters of the halo orbit as functions of the initial flight path parameters. The flight dates are ascertained, and the main 1994 flight path parameters satisfying the necessary conditions for execution of the missions are determined. An approximate analysis affords the possibility of obtaining a first approximation for the initial data once the nominal flight paths have been determined with sufficient accuracy by numerical approximation. This approach is used to calculate two refined 1994 flight paths.
