The paper presents E-region drift results at Ibadan using the data for 1964-1965 and 1975. By combining the daytime data for the E-layer with the night-time data for blanketing sporadic-E, it has been possible to examine the tidal components. A brief comparison is also made of E- and F-region velocities observed during the same period in March 1975. The results obtained at Ibadan are then discussed in relation to both the equatorial electrojet and other velocity measurements at equatorial and midlatitude stations.
