Dynamo Theory, Cp Stars: Magnetic Fields

Scientific paper

Based on the plasma turbulent wave dynamo equation (p-ω dynamo equation) and using spherical polar coordinates, a set of scalar dynamo equations is obtained. Considered various rotational situations, different analytical solutions are derived. Whether the rotation angular velocity is uniform or not and the convection is absent or present, the p-ω dynamo is operative. The existence of differential rotation will enhance the action of the p-ω dynamo. This dynamo may explain the observed magnetic field of CP stars.
