A discussion on the dynamics of the F-region is given from viewpoints of thermospheric motions, plasma transport, their effects on the F-region variations, and electrodynamics. Dynamics of the F-region are characterized by major heat sources arising from solar EUV radiations and solar winds, and also by strong coupling between neutral and ionized constituents. Dynamical effects on diurnal, seasonal and storm variations of the F-region are briefly discussed. Dynamo action in the F-region and resulting polarization electric field, electric current, thermospheric wind, plasma transport and plasma energetics are discussed.
