Scientific paper

Large shifts (up to 1000 km) of the magnetic poles of the earth observed
over the past 100 years are examined. It is suggested that the
corresponding changes can be expected in the processes related to the
geomagnetic field and taking place in the near-earth space of the polar
regions.
