The CCD images of Comet Halley obtained during the time interval of Giotto encounter on March 14, 1986, were analyzed by applying image enhancement techniques. The anisotropic structures of the dust coma so revealed provide additional information on the dust emission pattern. Results suggest that CN jet formation did not necessarily coincide with the first emission of the dust spike.
