A recent claim by Magain et al.(Nature 2005, Vol 437, Sept 15) of a bright QSO without a massive host galaxy revived an old controversy about the possible existence of such objects in the Universe and initiated a vigorous debate whether this is possible or not. Most of the ongoing discussion is focused on theoretical scenarios and omitted a simpler and more obvious possibility, namely that of an ULIRG/QSO with a dust-enshrouded starburst but a clear line of sight to the QSO. We propose to use ATCA to uncover such a starburst via the CO J=1-->0 emission of its inevitable molecular gas reservoir and its expected radio continuum emission at 1.2 cm, 3 cm and 6 cm.
