The nonlinear dynamics of double diffusion convection in a rotating spherical shell is investigated. The simulation is carried out for the purely thermal convection. The drifting columnar convection aligning the rotating axis appears. The double diffusion convection, where the compositional buoyancy works as well as the thermal buoyancy, is studied. It is found that the columns drift to the opposite direction of the thermal convection. The highly nonlinear property of the double diffusion convection is studied. It is revealed that the nonlinear convection is complex, and different from the prediction of the linear property.
