We examine the breaking of a U(1) symmetry in the core of a domain wall. We find analytical solutions for the scalar fields and demonstrate that the energy per area of the domain wall+condensate, in units of the energy per area of an ordinary domain wall, can be made arbitrarily small. These ``light'' domain walls, however, require tuning of the parameters in the potential. We also find a class of solutions in which the expectation value of a bound condensate in the core of a domain wall can be arbitrarily larger than the vacuum expectation value of the domain-wall field.
