An empirical model of the midlatitude ionosphere is used for a numerical calculation of the time of propagation of geomagnetic pulsations from space to the earth surface. The dependence of the results on the local time is analyzed. It is concluded that the delay of the geomagnetic signal in the E-region should be taken into account, and that diurnal variations of the time of magnetic-signal propagation from space to the earth surface are significant.
