An error concerning the determination of the limits of integration is corrected which occurred in Samochin's (1968) calculations of the quasi-Maxwellian distribution of the longitudinal electric potential along a one-dimensional magnetic tube of force. It is shown that the error had no qualitative effect on the results, however, it did affect the form of the quasi-neutrality equation, and also the quantitative results.
