Based on experimental data, Pi1B pulsations are divided into two types. Type Pi1B-rPi2 has a period of about 1-7 sec, is regional, and has an intensity peak that is observed at the same moment at all stations from low to high latitudes. Type Pi1B-rPip has a period of about 7-24 sec, is local, is observed only in the electrojet region, and has an intensity peak that travels poleward following the electrojet.
