Satellite orbits in the vicinity of a smaller gravitating body are examined that are removed from this body by a distance significantly greater than the Hill-sphere radius. A description of such orbits and their long-period evolution is given, and their stability condition is investigated. The analytical results are shown to agree well with results of the numerical integration of the three-body-problem equations.
