Scientific paper

The paper describes two types of two-frequency dispersion interferometers for investigating integral electron densities in such cosmic plasmas as the solar wind and planetary ionospheres: (1) interferometers with spaced radiation sources, and (2) interferometers with simultaneous measurements at the ends of the communication path. It is shown that these systems can be used to study the velocity structure of plasma-inhomogeneities, the location of these inhomogeneities, and plasma temporal instability. These parameters can be determined on the basis of cross-correlation and spectral analyses of variations of integral electron density along the communication path.
