Total columnar atmospheric ozone determinations at 0.2 nm intervals in the wavelength range 298.1-319.5 nm display peculiar variations on the order of + or - 5% from the mean. These variations are examined and discussed with reference to noted differences in ozone determined with the Dobson, satellite BUV, and other less common ozone measuring devices. Further investigations are encouraged in view of the need for a reliable ozone measurement standard.
