The arrival times of a seismic wave at two stations of the order of ten kilometers apart show residuals which may be very important. It is possible to correlate them with the total thickness of the earth's crust, and so to determine the variations of the crustal thickness beneath two seismic stations. We show the practical way to use the residuals for such determination, and give three examples observed in France.
