Diffraction is an important part of the events observed at the ep collider HERA and its description in terms of QCD is a necessary step for having a good understanding of the strong interaction. In particular the test of validity of the QCD factorisation theorem for diffraction and the extraction of precise diffractive parton densities are mandatory tasks. A review of the latest results about both inclusive and semi-inclusive diffraction from H1 and ZEUS is presented here.
