Development work on the flight software which will be used with the Data Acquisition system on board the Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) satellite has begun at the Naval Research Laboratory. As a first approach, the DAQ software used in the collaboration's primary simulation model (glastsim) was ported to an IDT 3081 processor running VxWorks. The problems encountered with this port, as well as the resulting timing studies, are reported here.
