The proton spectrum of a cosmic ray burst is determined with a
spectrometer employing a hollow plastic scintillator from the
geomagnetic cut-off rigidity along the satellite orbit. For impulses
ranging from .15 to .80 GV, the characteristic rigidity of the
exponential spectrum is found to equal .087 GV.
