Processes occurring in the arc discharge and in the plasma jet were used for direct spectral determination of the following anions: Phosphorus, sulfur, fluorine as well as beryllium and boron in lunar surface material. The excitation source was a plasmotron with consumable electrodes. The plasma forming gas was helium. The weighed sample for a single determination was 10 mg. The detectability was: P -- 2.5X0.001, S -- 5.0x0.01, F -- 2.5x0.001, Be -- 5.0x0.00001, and B -- 2.5x0.0001. The coefficient of variation for a single determination of phosphorus, sulfur, fluorine, beryllium, and boron was 5 to 10 percent.
