A method for determining the main parameters of the upper atmosphere and ionosphere as well as of solar short-wavelength radiation on the basis of emission measurements at 337.1, 427.8, and 731.9-3.0 nm is proposed. Vertical profiles of O and N2 concentrations, photoelectron fluxes, and the integral solar short-wavelength flux at wavelengths below 66.1 nm are calculated using analytical formulas whose input parameters are measured values of volume intensities of the aforementioned emissions. As an example, parameter profiles are determined on the basis of emission measurements made with the AE-C satellite.
