The paper determines reference functions of intensity and longitudinal attenuation which connect the magnitude of polar cap absorption with the integral parameters of microwave bursts at frequencies of 3 and 9 GHz. A determination is made of the solar longitude of the burst, conditions of proton discharge into the interplanetary space, and proton energy spectrum.
