In order to find a distance between the observing station and the earth spin axis simultaneous laser and camera observations during two consecutive satellite passages should be performed. According to this principle in 1972 and 1973 at four S.A.O. stations the satellites Geos A and Geos B have been observed. Values of parallel radius of stations: Arequipa, Olifantsfontein, Mt Hopkins have been determined with accuracy + or - 15 m.
