A method is proposed for determining the initial mass and effective destruction enthalpy of a meteoroid on the basis of the trajectory observed. The effective enthalpy values for most of the largest fireballs of the Prairie grid are in a rather narrow range. Comparison of ballistic coefficients, ablation parameters, and preatmospheric masses are in good agreement with the results of other authors.
