The works of Bell and his epigones proved that a class of hidden variable theories is incompatible with quantum mechanics. Analogously, Leggett proved the incompatibility of a distinct class of theories. The union of the two classes does not exhaust, however, the class of all possible hidden-variable theories. The derivation of Bell inequality relies on three hypotheses, Uncorrelated Choice, Setting-Independence, and Reducibility of Correlations. In particular violating the former two hypotheses may require or lead to the possibility of reduced free will or of superluminal signaling, under additional assumptions on the nature of the hidden variables. In this work, the author determines the form of the hidden-variable models which satisfy both Uncorrelated Choice and Setting-Independence, and which reproduce the quantum mechanical predictions for a spin singlet. Two classes of hidden-variable models are given as an example.
