Scientific paper

The paper is concerned with the possibility of detecting the phase
modulation of optical radiation from the sun and also from stars of the
globular cluster 47 TUCANAE due to the periodic gravitational waves from
PSR 0021-72A located within the cluster. Prospects for new
interferometric experiments based on this concept are examined.
