Scientific paper
Intercosmos-17 data on fluxes of protons, alpha particles, and nuclei in
the inner radiation belt are examined. It is shown that the data can be
interpreted as the observation of a zone of products of the interaction
between high-energy inner-belt protons and atmospheric oxygen.
