Fast (typical duration 400/500 ns) light pulses are detected pointing
three mirrors at a snowy mountain surface. The characteristics of the
pulses are in agreement with expectations for EAS Cerenkov light
reflected from the snow. The technique can be applied to the study of
the cosmic-ray primary spectrum at high energies.
