Early B-type (M 5-10 solar masses) stars lie at the boundary between high-mass and low-mass star formation. Multiwavelength techniques exist to detect these objects from their imprint on the surrounding interstellar medium where they create only a weak HII region but a large photodissociation region (PDRs). These PDRs have IRAS colors that clearly differentiate them from lower mass YSOs and from ultra-compact HII regions. However, the IRAS colors overlap with infrared emission from external galaxies, so in order to break this degeneracy one also looks for coincident emission at 8.3 microns (MSX A Band) and associated molecular line emission (FCRAO OGS at 45" resolution)We are utilizing newly available CO data and the new MSX catalog to expand the census of these objects. To facilitate the investigation of nearby star-forming regions located away from the Galactic plane we are exploring the use of the 2MASS Extended source catalog as a new means to differentiate between embedded intermediate mass stars in our Galaxy and external galaxies. The project will make use of existing NVO tools to explore and cross-reference numerous catalogs. We will test the ability of the NVO to easily incorporate user catalogs and examine the current capabilities of the NVO to interact with large data cubes. This research is funded through the US National Virtual Observatory Research Initiative.
