The effectiveness of prediction-error filtering for the identification of depth phases has been demonstrated in the first part of this work using synthetic seismograms. This second part presents an analysis of signals emanating from 18 presumed underground nuclear explosions from various sites in the U.S.S.R. as recorded at Gauribidanur seismic array. Using prediction-error filtering, the depth phase in each case was identified. The time delays between pP and P phases for these events varied between 0.35 and 0.80 s.
