Significant negative correlation between L0 variations and sunspot activity has been observed at Quetta. The analysis of data collected during 1953-1955 is presented in this paper; an attempt is made to explain the variations. It is concluded that errors of the order of 10-15 per cent in the total ozone amount are possible due to neglect of variations in L0 caused by sunspots.
