Periodic frequency oscillations were observed during radio-occultation experiments performed on the circumsolar plasma with the Venera 15 and 16 probes. It is suggested that these oscillations are connected with longitudinal density waves in the solar-wind plasma. The length and frequency of the plasma density waves are evaluated for different heliocentric distances, and the dependence of solar wind velocity on heliocentric distance is assessed experimentally.
