In asymptotically free gauge theories perturbation theory may be used to
obtain the behavior of dense stellar matter. The criteria for the
determination of ϱcrit, the minimum density above which
perturbation theory is valid, are presented. The asymptotic form for the
quark-gluon thermodynamic potential is given.
