A prototype magnetospheric state-based trapped radiation data base has been constructed as part of a proof-of-concept implementation of a new-generation trapped radiation model. Trapped radiation data from the data base, itself consisting of a data base of magnetospheric state (Psi) parameters and a data base of particle measurements (Phi), can be queried by specifying a set of magnetospheric-state (MS) parameters or a MS vector, as proposed by Fung [1996]. Trapped particle data having the same MS can then be retrieved from the data base and used to construct a trapped radiation model for the given MS condition. In this presentation, we demonstrate the capabilities of the prototype data base and discuss their implications for the LWS program. Fung, S.
