In this paper we study the travel times, velocities and spectral distributions of reflected waves generated by underwater explosions in lakes on the Xizang Plateau. The crustal structure on both sides of the Yarlung Zangbo River has been estimated by the inverse solution known as damped least squares. The depth of the Moho is 70-73 km in the region north of the Yarlung Zangbo River; the depth of the Moho in the southern region is 68-45 km. There is a low-velocity (~ 5.47 km s-1) layer in the crust, and the crustal thickness decreases from north to south in the Xizang Plateau.
