We are proposing deep mapping toward the north eastern (NE) region of the W28 supernova remnant (SNR) known to be a SNR/molecular cloud interaction site evidenced by many 1720 MHz OH masers and broad line profiles in CO and NH3 emission. Increased sensitivity in the 12mm NH3 inversion transitions ((1,1), (2,2), (3,3) and (6,6)) will allow a broad scale map of the optical depth, temperature and density with pixel-by-pixel resolution to be produced and provide more reliable information for statistical equilibrium and radiative transfer modeling. We will also determine the full morphology of the most energetic emission from this SNR/molecular cloud interaction region to understand the broader notions of cosmic-ray acceleration and diffusion into molecular clouds.
