The paper presents a reconstruction scheme that treats correlation spectra as convolutions of the object being imaged and iteratively deconvolves the spectra in a manner constrained by any a priori information present and by estimates of the noise on the spectra. The iterative scheme is based on a blind deconvolution algorithm (Ayers and Dainty, 1988) and is similar in concept to the phase-retrieval algorithm proposed by Fienup (1978) and the deconvolution algorithm of Davey et al. (1989). It is shown that the Knox-Thompson (1974) correlation spectrum is uniquely related to an object intensity distribution.
