We present a simple and intuitive picture for the deconfinement of quarks and
gluons at finite temperature: as the temperature increases, QCD behaves like
QED at T=0. We show this by calculating the QCD coupling constant as a function
of the temperature and of the external momenta used to probe quarks and gluons.
