The thesis discusses the data handling and the scientific results of the cosmic dust experiment Mars Dust Counter on the Japanese mission NOZOMI. It was defended at the Fakultät für Maschinenwesen, Lehrstuhl für Raumfahrttechnik, Technische Universität München, 85748 Garching, Germany, on July 31, 2007 under supervision of Prof. Eduard Igenbergs.
