A cosmological model is considered which involves the cylindrically symmetric distribution of matter with pressure evolving in time. New classes of nonstationary solutions of the Einstein equations with cylindrical symmetry are found for matter with zero, constant, and time-dependent pressure. A homogeneous anisotropic universe and an analog of the Schwarzschild solution are examined as particular cases.
