Scientific paper

A cyclic symmetry among the left-handed doublets of the three families is
proposed. This symmetry can naturally result in a realistic hierarchical
pattern of the fermion masses within the framework of supersymmetry with
nonvanishing sneutrino vacuum expectation values.
