Adaptive Optics

Scientific paper

The authors describe a new wavefront sensor which can favourably replace
the Shack-Hartmann sensor either for the control of telescope optics or
in adaptive optics systems. In the last case the sensor delivers a
signal which can be directly applied to a membrane mirror producing a
very simple and fast, entirely analog, control loop.
