Cosmic Microwave Background: Anisotropy, Cosmic Microwave Background: Sky Surveys

The author shows that the harmonic coefficients in cross-correlations between the anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background and extragalactic source surveys and integrated backgrounds arise from rather well-defined length scales, independent of the background cosmology. Therefore cross-correlations can be used to estimate the cosmic perturbation spectrum at wavelengths different from those probed by the individual anisotropy fields.
