In this contribution we describe a simple model for the "corona" of a neutrino radiating star in general relativity 1. A new solution of the Einstein equations is presented, such that we have the freedom to choose beforehand the luminosity profile detected by a distant observer. Using a one-parameter family of neutrino luminosity profiles, we conclude that there is a critical element in the family that separates those cases where the evolution of the boundary of the corona has a bounce (explosion) from those that have no bounce; that indicates the critical character of this general relativistic model; for a given initial mass of the star there is a critical neutrino luminosity above which we have explosion. We also check the model with a more realistic neutrino luminosity profile and we get an explosion in coincidence with a second "peak" in the neutrino luminosity profile, in agreement with some results of the Newtonian supernova theory...
