The mean number of particles created in space-time is calculated for two cosmological models. It is shown that the created particles are described by a Bose-Einstein distribution with a certain temperature. Classification of single-frequency states of the quantized field into positive- and negative-frequency states is performed by the Hamiltonian diagonalization method.
