We demonstrate that in grand unified theories, which contain two particles of the same charge but different internal quantum numbers, we can generate a CP-asymmetric universe through their CP violating interactions. If, in addition, the decays of the particles violate baryon number, then a baryon asymmetry will be produced. We work out these ideas in the SO(10) theory and show that a baryon asymmetry, consistent with the observed value, can be produced.
